ABOUT TRANSFORM 2012

Our passion is ultimately to reach the lost, inspire change and follow Jesus’ example when He said He had “come to heal the broken hearted” in the nations surrounding the Mediterranean. Transform is not just a conference on missions, but is also an opportunity put into practice the skills you learn.

Firstly we come together as a unified body during a 5-day conference in Rome, Italy. The purpose of the conference is to be trained, informed and challenged by the need in this part of the world. It is also an opportunity to rub shoulders with those who have been working in these nations and be inspired by their incredible stories and by their lives. There are a series of sessions, workshops and seminars as well as an opportunity to fellowship and be encouraged by hundreds of other participants.

Then, you go to one of the nations around the Mediterranean for 1-2 weeks  (but some outreaches are more) and put into practice on one of the outreaches what you learned during the conference on one of the outreaches.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN ROME

During the conference there is an emphasis on Biblical teaching about the kingdom of God.

Prayer is also a key component of Transform. Throughout the conference we will pray together and our pastoral care team will pray for individual specific needs. During the outreaches, a team stationed in Malta will pray for all the teams during this time.

The training component of the conference is broken up into ‘Breakouts’ (interactive sessions allowing you to develop your skills in sharing hope with others), ‘Workshops’ (allowing for specialised training of practical skills) and ‘Seminars’ (which are optional, covering a variety of topics and relevant issues in missions).

WHY THE MEDITERRANEAN?

450 million people live in the 21 modern countries around the Mediterranean Sea. Christianity’s roots lie in this region, yet many people here do not know the story of Jesus Christ or who He is.

ACCOMMODATION

Meals and very comfortable accommodation is included in the conference cost.  The accommodations will be at or close to the conference site. Once your application process has been approved, you will be advised of the location of your accommodation.
